Hi! I'm Carolyn Moir. I grew up as a horse crazy kid who loved collecting Breyer model horses. As I got older, I discovered my artistic talent and could usually be found drawing my favorite subject = horses! I went on to obtain a Fine Arts Degree and eventually turned my skills towards trying my hand at sculpting my own models. I've been

Before I was able to own the real deal, my Breyer models and summer riding lessons were the key to kick-starting my imagination and many long hours were spent playing with and even drawing the model horses themselves for practice. Today, I strive to create life-like representations of them in my own line of work and to continue to improve my accuracy.

For my 2D work, I most often enjoy using colored pencils and ink. My horse sculptures are primarily done using Aves Apoxie Sculpt and Magic-Sculpt. I plan to branch out and try different clays for my model horses, as it is fun to learn the pros and cons of each medium.
